At Makassed Khalil Shehab Primary School, we ensure the importance of providing our students with technology and help them become more competent when using it. For that reason, our computer lab had major renovations by enlarging its space and increasing the number of computers. The computer lab is now used for many purposes other than those mentioned above. The whole class would have a computer period and an English-computer integrated period. Moreover, a teacher may choose to give her lesson in the computer lab taking advantage of the wide space so she can fit her whole class adding to it using the internet to enrich her teaching materials. An over head projector is always plugged in and ready for use in the lab. The computer lab has indeed become one of the best places for learning, present for students' use and open for them under the supervision of the computer teacher.

Special thanks go to Mr. Shehab for his generous donation to rehabilitate the computer lab and for president Amine Daouk and Miss Adla Chatila for believing in our capacities and supporting our plans and vision.

Our dear friends from Mid Calder Primary School in West Lothian in the UK had a marvelous day! They cut, colored, and made beautiful puppets. They did great ICT work...They also built Lego, played music, and stretched their muscles.

The photostory project is done by Mark, a boy from P7 who took the photographs and another two boys also from P7, both called Jack put everything together in an amazing photostory. Thank you so much for sharing! Your project is so well done and we loved the music you've added!

تعزيزا لروح المشاركة وتنمية لحب عمل الخير عند تلاميذنا، ودعماً لمرضى سرطان الأطفال في مستشفى المقاصد، خصصت المدرسة يوم السبت من كل اسبوع(ولمدة أربعة اسابيع) ليكون يوم فطور موحد يشارك فيه جميع التلامذة والمعلمين، ويكون ريعه بمثابة هدية مقدمة منهم لمرضى سرطان الاطفال، وذلك ضمن الانشطة اللاصفية التي ترعاها مدرّسة مادة التربية الاسلامية

ألقى تجمع الشباب للتوعية الاجتماعية "يازا" محاضرة بعنوان السلامة العامة لتلاميذ الصفيّن الخامس والسادس الأساسييّن. وكان هدفها الوقاية من حوادث السير، والحماية منها، ومعرفة قوانين المرور. وقد عمل التجمع على توعية التلاميذ وذلك من خلال عرض شرائح تبيّن خطورة حوادث السير وكيفية الحّد والوقاية منها.إضافة إلى شرح رموز إشارات المرور وضرورة التقيّد بها،وقدمت في نهاية المحاضرة كتيّبات عن أهمية استعمال حزام الأمان، وسلامة المشاة،وإشارات المرور

Several activities were done to engage students in a lesson about ''Mitosis’’. Students were classified into 4 categories: Linguistic, Spatial, Musical, and Logical-Mathematical.

Every group did a different activity:

Linguistic students enjoyed transforming the lesson to a story titled: “I’m never tired’’.

Spatial students enjoyed drawing the 6 stages of mitosis.

Logical- Mathematical students calculated how many daughter cells are formed every day, week, month and year. Then they drew a bar graph.

It's a great way for classrooms to connect via email.

We got our first emails from our epals in Nobleboro Maine, USA. We'll write you back and share more about ourselves and our interests. We'd like to thank Mrs. Schuster and our dear friends for these letters .
