Concentric Circles

Concentric Circles is a "Circle Chat" activity for student- to- student interaction. It's fun and informative.

Today we formed two Concentric Circles. We took turns asking and answering each other questions about our interest. We moved from place to place in Concentric Circles. The students who were standing in the inner circle face- out, facing a partner standing in the outer circle. They began by asking a question each time new pairs are formed and then moved right. After two minutes, we switched roles. The outer circle moved, while the students in the inside circle remained where they were. We found connections with each other in a very short time.

Parent- Teacher Meeting

Parental involvement is the most important factor for students' success in school. For this reason, our school held an open house, families visited classrooms, met teachers and saw examples of their children's work. Each teacher gave a presentation regarding the activities, procedures, school virtues, and academics that will be taught in classrooms this school year.

We discussed basic learning goals and plans of kindergarten and the strategies to clarify and achieve them. We also shared ideas of how children learn by exploration and discovery through making choices and exploring ideas and feelings and how to prepare them for reading and writing. We do share responsibility for creating a working relationship that fosters learning for education and socialization of children.

Thank you to all the parents who supported our school by attending our open house. We hope you found the meeting helpful. If you have any questions, please contact us.

My Special Name

My name is special! I recognized, traced, colored and wrote my name on a colorful crown. A very important step for me..... I'm now familiar with the letters that make up my name and the sound each letter makes...

My name is so special!

A Journey inside a Plant Cell

Yesterday during the science session we studied animal and plant cell.We all liked this lesson a lot.

At night,I saw a strange dream.I saw all grade 6 students inside a plant cell.We saw two doors, the cell wall and cell membrane. We knocked on the walls and entered the cell. We were amazed since our color changed to green.

We started sliding on the cytoplasm, and then we went to the nucleus where we saw chromosomes using computers to control the cell’s activities. We felt hungry so we rushed to the vacuole where we ate and drank.Feeling exhausted we hurried to the mitochondria to take some energy.

Suddenly I heard my mom’s voice calling me: “wake up it's time to go to school;try not to be late”.I rushed to school to tell my friends and teacher about my strange dream. It was a journey inside a plant cell.

New Technology at KSPS

When you visit our school this year, you will definitely notice the changes that happened in it especially with new technology items.

Going up the stairs, a T.V. screen captures your attention. It is used to display pictures, videos, and slide shows of the various activities that were and will be done throughout the year.

You will also find an LCD screen in each classroom. It is a step forward to follow up with our aim of integrating ICT into teaching. Students have no longer to go to the computer lab or the library when their teacher has something to show them or has a power point presentation of her lesson. Students will stay in their classes while teachers take advantage of the privilege of having the screen, which very few schools in Lebanon were able to equip its classrooms with.

Parents also got a list of teachers’ emails so that they can ask about the progress of their children without coming to school.

Major renovations took place this year in the computer lab. It was enlarged in space and with more computers so that the whole class would be present at the same time there.

Finally, we are proud of launching our website. Our school is the first school among all Makassed school to have its own website. If you would like to have a look at it, go to:

and don't forget our blog to keep up with all what's happening at school:
