This is the day,

that our nation sings

This is the day,

that the liberty bell starts to ring

This is the day,

we all start to remember

what we stand for

and to celebrate our independence

We stand up high, as we

all start to cry

as we think about,

all that died

for you, for me, for our whole country

risking their life,

each year on this day we give a solute

to all that lay

It's Independence Day! But are we good citizens??? Do we do anything at school that shows good citizenship??? What makes a good citizen?

I'm a good citizen when I take care of my school. Here are the keys to character:

Our character counts!

Grade Three students celebrated Independence Day in their own way. They wrote about this important day in their Journal copybooks. Their writings were really beautiful and interesting. They discussed what Lebanese usually do on this special day. They also wrote about the Lebanese flag and what does every color of our flag stand for. Then they copied their writings on a piece of paper and drew a picture about it. They cut and colored while learning about Independence Day. It was loads of fun!

توجهت اليوم إلى المدرسة مزهوا بالزي العسكري و المناسبة عيد الاستقلال

الصف تحول إلى لوحة حمراء ، خضراء ، بيضاء

أنصتنا بشغف لحكاية الاستقلال التي روتها لنا المعلمة

..و بدأت الأسئلة و الإستفسارات و المعلمة تجيب و تجيب .

و زاد الحماس عندما وزعت علينا نصا بجمل مبعثرة

و كان علينا ترتيبه على اللوح تحت عنوان الاستقلال ...

في ختام الحصّة أنشدنا النشيد الوطني اللبناني

و انهالت الأقلام على الأوراق ترسم و تلون العلم اللبناني ....

نظمت إدارة الشؤون التربوية عدداً من الأنشطة لمناسبة ذكرى الإستقلال لنيل كأس المغفور له الرئيس صائب سلام،حيث قامت مجموعة من تلامذة المقاصد برسم لوحات فنيَة في باحة قصر آل سلام وشاركت مجموعة أخرى في سباق الجري.وبعد انتهاء السباق تمَ توزيع الجوائز من قبل كل من الرئيس الفخري لجمعيتنا الوزير تمام سلام و رئيس جمعيَتنا الأستاذ أمين الداعوق. وقد فاز من مدرستنا الطالب ليث صلاح الدين في مسابقة الرسم ونال ميدالية ذهبيَة

مبروك للفائزين وكل إستقلال وأنتم بخير
